The SANAKO Study Mobile Module presents a unique opportunity for schools to make use of the NOKIA N810 Internet Tablet in ways that make them relevant to both learning and teaching. The main reason for adding the SANAKO Study Mobile solution to your hand-held learning is that it ...
... links classroom teaching to hand-held learning ...
by allowing teachers and students to use familiar technology to enhance all aspects of learning – but our solution is more than the technology alone. Students and teachers can use the module in a number of creative and effective ways to enhance hand-held learning activities whether at home, in school or on the move.
Some of the authentic uses of the N810 and Study Mobile combination are;

Your students can be sent (to their device hard drive) work to be completed at home on their N810. This work can take the form of all standard methods such as worksheets, presentations, web links etc.... as the device allows students to create and edit all standard materials. The work done can then be quickly and easily collected at the next lesson and then saved or presented to the class.

The long battery life (up to 10 hours) means that the devices can be taken to even the most remote places. They are also rugged and waterproof - a must for such environments. Worksheets can be sent to the devices for students to edit them whilst on-site. Take pictures, record audio and log your GPS location. Come back to school and create your presentation on the same device. You could also allow students to keep a log or personal diary of their stay on their own device - then show it to Mum and Dad when they get home!

Take pictures of your designs. Enhance and edit your saved images. Create sketches of prototypes. Record design conversations. Create your marketing messages and design the logos and strap-lines. Email your ideas. Browse the web for ideas and product research. Present your whole concept to the rest of the class on the whiteboard.

Send your students away to work in groups to any part of the school. Pass the device around the group and work togther to create a shared learning experience. Make use of the web communication tools to enable students to work together from home using methods such as MSN and Skype. The OpenOffice application allows the group to create a presentation of their work.

The in-built Mozilla web browser provides a true web browsing experience that allows students to browse and research material from any web site. Students can link to the school Virtual Learning Environment such as Moodle and Sharepoint to access material in a safe manner. Any material could be added to a document in order to create a report on that subject.

Listen to music in the stereo headphones. Record your songs using the inbuilt voice recorder, save them and perhaps insert them to your presentations. Create sheet music, play it back and export it in MIDI form to your other instruments. Jot down lyrics, design your CD covers and your own band logo. Email your new hit to your friends or just let them listen to it.
.... so many potential uses and ..... we can also help you to bring this potential to your classroom by offering ...
